Korean Team's Room Temperature Superconductor Announcement Questioned

Room temperature superconductivity has once again caused a stir around the world. However, this time it seems those longing for it will be disappointed again.
On July 22nd local time, researchers led by Sukbae Lee from the Korea Institute of Quantum Energy Science and Technology and collaborators announced the discovery of the world's first room temperature and ambient pressure superconductor-modified lead phosphorus oxychloride crystals (LK-99). Two related papers were published on the preprint website arXiv. However, experts from multiple countries have raised doubts about the research soon after their publication.
