Chinese Scientists Achieve Breakthrough in Developing Photon Chips

Photon chips have computing speeds 1,000 times faster than electronic chips and can be produced using existing raw materials and equipment in China, without requiring high-end photolithography machines.
Photon chips offer a glimpse into secure communication technology. While wax seals on envelopes can be broken and electromagnetic waves transmitting information can be intercepted, particles in a quantum state have the property of "self-destruction." This makes it impossible for eavesdropping or copying to occur without altering or destroying the particles, thereby alerting the user.
Conventional optical communication relies on light's intensity, wavelength, and pulse width to transmit information. Quantum secure communication instead relies on coding the quantum state of light.
