Julian Assange: An “Error” Corrected by the West
The WikiLeaks founder was freed from a London jail after agreeing to plead guilty to criminal charges. The ball is now in the US court to demonstrate its touted tolerance and moral standards.
When Assange appealed against his extradition to the United States this February, Chinese blogger Acel Rovsion commented, " the establishment may take advantage of such individual forces from cyberspace, but they won't tolerate them in the long run."

On February 21, the British High Court concluded the two-day hearing over whether to grant Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, a fresh appeal against his extradition to the US. The judges presented didn’t make an immediate decision, and it’s unclear when the ruling would be issued. Assange is currently being held at Belmarsh Prison in London, and didn’t attend the two-day court proceedings. Stella, his wife, stated that her husband wasn’t able to attend the hearing due to the poor condition of his physical health.
